japón tiene el cerezo y mexico tiene jacarandas

Jajaja, así es. Aunque las jacarandas sólo llegaron a México hasta el siglo pasado. En realidad son originarias de Brazil.
El gobierno japonés le regaló unos cerezos a Estados Unidos como signo de amistad, los cuales pusieron en Washington. En México al gobierno le gustó la idea (en tiempos de Porfirio Díaz), y pidió que también se colocaran cerezos a un botánico japonés que residía en México, pero el botánico alertó que por el clima no florecerían, pues necesitaban un cambio radical de temperatura de invierno a primavera que en México era imposible. Y así el mismo botánico buscó hasta que dio con las jacarandas y por eso se plantaron por toda la ciudad y en varias partes del país.
