It doesnt bother as much as the idea that they are only doing this because they're lazy.
Why remake something? at all, if you are not going to put more subtance into it?
Why not make your own thing parting from the same root?
I would love to see more diverse casts and characters, but in a remake it feels like they ran out of ideas.
And whats worse, they dont even add anything purer, they dont hire black writers, they just put a new coat of paint over the same product, and we have millions of good POC artists.

A good example is Rorschach, at first he was a ginger, but in more recent issues he is a black man, but its not like they just changed the color and called it a day, those two are diffferent characters using the same mask at different times, they are their own unique personas, and that is good, that is how it should be, not a recolor, a completely new character that serves a similar purpose.
