sepaking about lazer swords, what type of body armour would be used to protect you from them? or maybe they use special shields made of similar materials

I was going to have them protect themselves with the same energy they use to fuel the swords. Basically psychic space knights. Armor would be for aesthetics, mostly. But I think the most straightforward armor would be "hard light" or whatever you wanna call it. Stuff that glows like the weapons.
